Frantz Fanon Prize

The Frantz Fanon Prize is awarded annually in recognition of up to three works in or of special interest to Caribbean thought. The nominations are made during the fall of each year, and the winners are chosen and announced by February of the succeeding year. The plaque of acknowledgment is given at a ceremony and book session at the annual conference of the Caribbean Philosophical Association. Only books published within 6 years of the nomination date can be considered for the award. Each winning author automatically becomes a member of the committee for the prize.

The Nicolás Guillén Philosophical Literature Prize

The Nicolas Guillen Philosophical Literature Prize are awarded at the international annual meetings of the Caribbean Philosophical Association. The prize is to be awarded to an author whose contribution to Caribbean thought is through the medium of the novel, poetry, theater, or cinema.

The Anna Julia Cooper Essay Award

The Anna Julia Cooper Essay Award is given to the best paper presented by a beginning scholar (within five years of earning their Ph.D.) at the previous year's international conference of the Caribbean Philosophical Association.

The Claudia Jones Essay Award

The Claudia Jones Essay Award is given to the best paper presented by a graduate student at the previous year's international meeting of the Caribbean Philosophical Association.
