The Twentieth World Congress of Philosophy was held in Boston in 1998. It was sponsored by six universities in the Boston area, in cooperation with the International Federation of Philosophical Societies. The theme of the conference was "Paideia: Philosophy Educating Humanity". The Proceedings of the Twentieth World Congress of Philosophy contains invited and selected papers in twelve thematic volumes.
