Humanitas is a peer-reviewed journal that explores issues of moral and social philosophy, epistemology, and aesthetics, and the relations among them. It seeks to foster a spirit of open inquiry that looks beyond conventional categoreis of thought. It welcomes original articles, reviews, and poetry that examine the moral and cultural conditions of knowledge in a broadly historical perspective.

  • Established in 1987, Humanitas is now published by The Academy of Philosophy & Letters in cooperation with the Philosophy Documentation Center. Contributors include Gorman Beauchamp, William F. Byrne, Bruce Frohnen, Phillip G. Henderson, Patricia M. Lines, John Rees Moore, Claes Ryn, James Seaton, and Peter Viereck. All issues are now freely accessible.
