This volume was prepared in honor and recognition of William P. Alston's many contributions to philosophy as author, editor, teacher, and mentor. Alston was the founding editor of the Philosophy Research Archives (1975), the innovative microfiche publication that became the Journal of Philosophical Research. He was also the founding editor of the journal Faith and Philosophy (1984), a co-founder of the Society of Christian Philosophers, and a president of the American Philosophical Association. Contributors to this commemorative volume include Sanford Goldberg, Daniel Howard-Snyder, Michael Lynch, Matthew McGrath, Daniel J. McKaughan, Thomas Senor, Paul Silva, Jr., and Eleonore Stump.
