THE POLANYI SOCIETY

The Polanyi Society is a scholarly organization formed in the early 1970's to promote exchange among persons interested in the thought of Michael Polanyi (1891-1976). It sponsors a regular annual meeting in late November held in conjunction with the annual meetings of the American Academy of Religion and the Society for Biblical Literature. At least one session of the annual meeting includes presentation and discussion of scholarly papers which are made available to interested members before the gathering.
