Dialogue and Universalism
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Dialogue and Universalism publishes articles, book reviews, discussion notes, and review essays.
The editors accept original manuscripts (in English) that have not been previously published for review. Any special exceptions must be discussed with the editors. The journal will only consider manuscripts that are not under review by another journal. Upon acceptance authors agree to transfer copyright to Dialogue and Universalism for first publication.
Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format by email to malgorzata.czarnocka@ifispan.edu.pl. Manuscripts should be double-spaced, include key words, intertextual headings, and an abstract of no more than 200 words. Footnotes (not endnotes) or references should be in a separate section. The first reference to a book or journal article should have complete bibliographical information.
Submitted manuscript should contain brief information about the author - no more than 200 words. This information should include name, address, e-mail, academic degree, and scholarly affiliation, and may also include membership in important organizations, up to five titles of the author’s most significant books or papers with bibliographical data. The suggested length of D&U articles is to 8,000 words.
Manuscripts must be in a condition ready for publication according to The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition. A helpful resource on The Chicago Manual of Style is available here.
Editorial Procedure
Submissions are sent to two referees for blind peer-review. To facilitate blind refereeing, the author’s name and address should appear on a detachable title page, but nowhere else in the article. The list of the current referees is available on the journal's website.
We allow both British and American usages, but there must be consistency within the individual article. The editors may alter manuscripts wherever necessary to make usage consistent or conform to the journal's style.
Authors receive proofs of their text by e-mail.
D&U does not permit ghostwriting. Authors of submissions are responsible for disclosing information about all persons involved in the production of their submissions.
Authors receive free one copy of the issue containing their article. Additional copies may be obtained at half the regular price (see Subscription).
